Do I need to be a member to RP as Public Works?
Simply, yes. SAR requires you to be a server member in order to play as a Public Works Official. You can apply here.
Can I use the Changeable Message Signs?
All LEOs have access to our CMS system by default. Server Members, however, are hand picked by the PW Leadership Team and given a key to use the CAD CMS system.
What is the Public Works radio frequency?
Our official frequency is 208 MHz. However, it can vary between agencies, be sure to check the SOP for the agency you want to work as.
Do I have to contact the police before I create a scene?
No, you are not required to contact Law Enforcement before creating a PW scene, even if you block a road.
Can I request police for traffic control?
Yes, it is common for PW employees to contact LEOs via the 311 system and request a traffic detail officer to control the flow of traffic.
Can I carry a weapon while on duty?
No, carrying any kind of deadly weapon is strictly prohibited once you enter company property and once you clock in for your shift.
